RHONDA THOMAS URDANG is a studio artist working across multiple disciplines. Since founding Flagstaff Feminist Art Project, she has worked primarily in femmage, assemblage, book art, collage, digital manipulation, painting and satire. Her thought provoking art pieces have been exhibited in more than 70 national and international juried group shows in 34 states since June 2014. Rhonda received her BFA in painting from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and worked as a journeyman color separation artist in the graphic arts industry. Rarely does she commit to one style -- choosing rather to let her keen intuitive perception guide her from one theme to the next -- shedding light on the transcendent tendencies that emerge in her visionary images. Listening to her subconscious continues to be a great source of inspiration. Rhonda gains pleasure from unraveling the feminine mystique while peeling away layers of buried memories in her innovative art practice -- nestled in the magical southwestern landscape of Northern Arizona. Her experimental approach has earned numerous awards.
