Hannah Shergold is a serving British Army Officer, a trained helicopter pilot with tours of Germany, Canada and Afghanistan. But it was her recent 6 month tour of Kenya conducting medical evacuations for British troops that led her to explore the magical world of African wildlife.
Inspired by colour and texture, Hannah applies these principles to her work to create vibrant pieces that bring the animals to life. Add to this her background anatomical knowledge having studied Veterinary Science at Cambridge University and you have an artist with an edge.
Winner of two prizes for wildlife sculpture at the Mall Galleries' exhibitions in London, and featuring in British Vogue's Gallery in their March issue, Hannah Shergold is one to watch as she transitions from Army Officer to full time artist in early 2018.
